Much-Afraid had went to sleep and was awaken in the middle of the night by her worries. She was terrified, and was afraid that the Chief Shepherd had left her because he though that she will be changing her mind not to go to the high places with him. She quickly dress up as fast as possible, as she open the door and out into the darkness. She had forgotten all the fears she had in her feeling about her Fearing Relatives, but just to focus on the Chief Shepherd.
She walked across the street to the fields to find the Shepherd. As she walked through the fields she saw lights from the lantern, and there standing the watchmen. She ask these watchmen about where the Chief Shepherd went. And they told her that the Shepherd was on his journey to the high mountains.
Much Afraid quickly as possible to follow the Shepherd. And just before the sun rises she had found the Shepherd. Both of them ran to each other. The Shepherd said to Much-Afraid that he knew that she would be coming.
It is time to start for the High Places. Everywhere they walked pass lies a carpet of blooming flowers. The valley is very beautiful. The place seems peaceful which makes Much-Afraid forgotten all about her Fearing relatives.
Up to one point. The Chief Shepherd needs to go. He leaves Sorrow and Suffering as Much-Afraid's Companion as they travel through the difficult paths. He is still around ready for help Much-Afraid but invisible at her sight. The Fearing Relatives knew that Much-Afraid is now on her journey to the High Places in the service of the Chief Shepherd which they much hated.
The Fearings had sent Pride and some other relatives take Much-Afraid back to the Valley of Humiliation but they everytime failed through the help of Sorrow and Suffering, and the Chief Shepherd.
They have traveled through the mountains, passing through the desert, and now crossing the sea shores.
Much-Afraid had learned so much from her journey. She learns how to prepare herself to be ready to go to the high places, and to learn to trust on her lord Chief Shepherd.
